If you love the idea of doing things your own way and creating a moment that feels joyful, unexpected and completely you, let us introduce one of our favourite wedding experiences at Magheramorne Estate.
It’s called the Dessert Walk, and it might just be the most fun way to serve dessert that you’ll ever see.
It’s bold. It’s playful. It’s a little bit messy. And it turns that quiet post-dinner lull into the moment your wedding party really kicks off.
Delivered by our in-house team at the estate, or on the road with Jane’s Kitchen at marquee weddings, it is a sight to behold.
As dinner comes to an end, instead of dessert being quietly served to tables, you, your partner or our MC take to the mic.
In advance of your big day, you will have secretly nominated one or two guests from each table who will then be asked to stand. The room will applaud, intrigued by what is happening.
Your selected guests will now be asked to leave the room, making their way to the Conservatory, where our team will equip them with a sharing-size dessert, topped with a giant sparkler.
Meanwhile in the Ballroom, the lights go down. The music comes up. It’s time for the Dessert Walk.
One by one, the desserts make their entrance. Cheers and laughter erupt, guests rise from their seats, phones are out. Pudding is served and the party has truly started.
This is not your traditional end to a meal. It really gets the party started and brings people together. Best of all, it feels completely personal. It reflects the personalities of our couples who want their wedding to be relaxed, generous and full of energy, without taking themselves too seriously.
Here’s the secret ingredient. Do not tell your guests. This is where the magic lies.
They expect dessert to arrive quietly. Instead, they get music, sparklers, movement and a moment they never saw coming. The reactions are priceless and completely genuine.
It’s the kind of moment people will still be talking about years later.
Sharing is the whole point, so the best desserts are generous, easy to serve and designed to be enjoyed together.
